Book Review Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to push you towards reading good books in the environmental field. You may choose any book you wish but it must have content that enables you to answer the following questions:
- What is the background information for the book? (author, title, date written, main topic, etc.)
- What are three significant points the book makes?
- Why is it a potentially important book to the environmental field? Why should other EVS students consider reading it?
Potential books include The Map that Changed the World, A History of the End of the World, Rocks of Ages, The Structure of Evolutionary Theory, Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History, and The Immense Journey. I'm open to nearly any possibility, but you need to choose a book by next week.
